Mentors: Honestly, my high school volleyball coach. She taught me the value of hard work, collaboration, and holding myself accountable for both me and my teammates. Changed my life.
Teaching style: Why be serious when you can be joyful?
Favorite Yoga Pose: Supported bridge pose, also downward dog.
Least Favorite Yoga Pose: Bow pose... can't dig it
Music style for class: Good beats, interesting vocals... whatever is new and exciting that I've found on Spotify. My best friend from college is also a songwriter/artist and I usually include one of her songs on all of my playlists. I'm also in love with The Head and the Heart.
Interests outside of yoga: Cooking, farmers markets, music, singing, my dog named Gustav, social work, and mental health and wellbeing.
Favorite fruit: OH MAN. Peaches. Cherries. Blackberries. Ruby red grapefruit. Pineapple. In season melons. ANYTHING IN SEASON AND LOCAL.
Special talent: Well, I can wiggle my ears. I also have a bachelors in vocal performance and did a cappella in college. I can also fluently quote Harry Potter books and can list all of the inconsistencies throughout the series. Don't get me started, unless you want an earful.
Favorite place in San Diego: My home in Grant Hill. If you go to the tippy top of Grant Hill Park, you can see all the way from the mountains, to Mexico, Coronado, and Point Loma. One of the best and least trafficked views in San Diego.
