Prenatal yoga should be so much more than a modified yoga class.
Too often, prenatal yoga gets reduced to a list of accommodations: move a little slower, skip this pose, add a bolster, don’t lie on your belly.
Of course safety matters. But we believe prenatal yoga can be so much more than that.
Pregnancy is one of the biggest physical, emotional, and identity shifts a person can move through. And for many pregnant women, their weekly yoga class may be one of the only places in their week where they have the space to slow down, listen inward, connect with their changing body, and connect with the baby they’re growing.
A truly great prenatal class can become a kind of portal — a place to practice trust, resilience, surrender, strength, presence, and the enormous transition into motherhood.
That’s the kind of prenatal yoga we want to teach.
And that’s what this training is about.
And yes — you’ll also learn what the hell to do when a pregnant student walks into your regular class.
If you have questions about this training, contact Bridget anytime. She’ll usually reply with 24 hours.
Do our training from anywhere the world

You can’t learn to support the bodies, minds, and hearts of pregnant women from a list of do’s and don’ts.
To really support someone through pregnancy, you need to understand what’s actually happening — physically, emotionally, hormonally, and through the nervous system.
But even that isn’t enough on its own.
The real skill is learning how to turn that knowledge into an experience that actually means something to people.
That might be supporting one pregnant student in the middle of a regular yoga class. It might be leading a dedicated prenatal class. Or it might be creating an entire six-week series that becomes one of the most meaningful parts of someone’s pregnancy.
You’ll learn how to shape the experience from beginning to end: how you sequence, how you theme, how you speak, how you engage with the people in front of you, and how you create a room that feels safe, connected, intentional, and genuinely supportive.
This is not a watch-some-videos-and-get-certified kind of training.
This is an immersive, mentorship-driven experience designed to make you a better teacher.
Yes, you’ll learn how to teach prenatal yoga. But you’ll also get real feedback on your sequencing, your language, your presence, your ability to read a room, and the way you create an experience for your students.
My goal is that this training improves your teaching whether prenatal yoga becomes a huge part of your career — or whether you never come across another pregnant yogi in class ever again.
Here’s how the transformation happens
✓ Understand pregnancy from the inside out
Learn the physiology of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, pelvic floor function, diastasis, the nervous system, and the emotional landscape of this transition.
✓ Learn how to actually teach prenatal yoga
Go beyond “safe modifications” and learn how to sequence, cue, adapt, and lead prenatal classes that feel intentional, intelligent, and complete.
✓ Learn how to make those classes meaningful
Explore themes like trust, surrender, resilience, connection, and preparation for birth — so your classes become more than movement.
✓ Practice teaching in real time
Teach, experiment, get feedback, refine your sequencing and language, and build confidence while you’re still in the training.
✓ Build an offering you can actually use
Learn how to create and market a prenatal series of your own, support pregnant students in regular classes, and turn this specialty into a meaningful part of your teaching career.

What You’ll Experience Inside the Training
Learn from people who actually do this work
You’ll learn from Bridget and guest experts in pregnancy, birth, postpartum, pelvic health, nervous-system support, and related fields.
The goal is to understand pregnancy and postpartum in a way that is grounded, practical, and actually useful when you’re in the room with a real person.
Experience the work, not just study it
We’ll create real prenatal-yoga experiences inside the training — classes, themes, practices, discussions, and exercises designed to help you feel what makes this work powerful.
Because if you’re going to create transformational experiences for other people, you should get to experience some of that transformation yourself.
Build classes from the ground up
You’ll create prenatal sequences, develop themes, think through how a class or series unfolds emotionally, and learn how to shape the entire experience — not just choose “safe” poses.
You’ll leave with work you can actually use.
Practice teaching. Get mentored. Get better.
You’ll teach throughout the training and receive direct feedback on your sequencing, language, presence, pacing, decision-making, and the way you engage with students.
This is where the mentorship piece really lives. You’ll have space to try things, get coached, refine them, and try again.
Learn in community
There will be lots of time to talk, process, practice, and work in smaller groups.
You’ll be learning alongside people who care about pregnancy, birth, movement, and supporting others through major transitions — and I want the training itself to feel like the kind of connected, meaningful container we’re teaching you to create.
Contact Bridget with any questions.
Who this training is for you if…
You want more than a list of prenatal modifications.
You want to understand pregnancy, birth, and postpartum deeply enough that you can actually be present with the people you’re teaching — not just technically keep them safe.
You care about becoming a thoughtful, ethical, grounded teacher who understands the responsibility and privilege of guiding people through vulnerable and transformative experiences.
You’re interested in embodiment: not just learning concepts intellectually, but experiencing the work yourself so that what you teach comes from somewhere real.
You want to learn how to create classes that are genuinely meaningful — classes that help people connect to their changing bodies, their babies, their nervous systems, and the enormous transition they’re moving through.
You want mentorship, feedback, practice, and the chance to actually get better at teaching.
And maybe most of all, you’re excited by the idea that this training might change you a little too.
And this training isn’t for you if…
You’re mainly looking for the fastest, easiest way to check the prenatal box.
You just want a list of what pregnant students can and can’t do so you can feel covered in a regular class.
You want a passive certification you can complete without much discussion, practice teaching, reflection, or feedback.
You’re not comfortable engaging with the realities of pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, bodies, bodily fluids, fear, pain, vulnerability, and major identity change.
Or you’re not really interested in the deeper responsibility of being someone who holds space for people during an incredibly intense season of life.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a simple prenatal safety course.
That just isn’t what this training is.
A lot of prenatal yoga education focuses on the obvious questions:
What poses are safe? What needs to be modified? What changes in each trimester?
We’ll absolutely teach you those things.
But at Honey, we think the bigger question is:
What makes a prenatal yoga class actually matter to the person taking it?
Our approach to prenatal yoga is deeply intentional. We think about what someone is moving through emotionally, what she may need to hear, what she needs space to feel, and how the physical practice can support the much bigger transition happening in her life.
That means we’ll teach you how to create classes with meaning behind them — not just sequences with prenatal accommodations added in.
And there’s another thing that makes this training different:
You’re being trained by yoga teacher trainers.
Teaching people how to teach yoga is what we do.
So while you’ll leave with a deep education in prenatal yoga, you’ll also be mentored in the craft of teaching itself: your sequencing, your language, your presence, your pacing, the way you relate to students, and the way you hold a room.
If you’re already a yoga teacher, this training will make you a better one — even if prenatal yoga only becomes a small part of what you teach.
And if you’re not a yoga teacher yet, you’ll be learning this work through the lens of people who have spent years thinking deeply about what makes teaching clear, ethical, grounded, and genuinely effective.

The arc of our program
Each weekend will build on the last, moving from understanding pregnancy itself, into the craft of teaching prenatal yoga, and finally into creating meaningful, confident offerings of your own.
Weekend 1: Understanding the Threshold
We’ll start with the foundations: what is actually happening during pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period — physically, emotionally, hormonally, and through the nervous system.
You’ll begin to understand the pregnant student as a whole person, not just a body that needs modifications.
Februrary 19–21
Weekend 2: Learning to Facilitate
This is where we get more technical and practical.
We’ll explore prenatal adaptations, sequencing, class structure, cueing, working with pregnant students in general classes, and how to begin building prenatal classes around both physical needs and meaningful themes.
You’ll also start practicing how to translate everything you’re learning into an actual class experience.
March 5–7
Weekend 3: Integration
The final weekend is about integration.
We’ll go deeper into intention, teaching presence, creating classes and series that feel cohesive and meaningful, practice teaching, feedback, and refining your own approach.
We’ll also introduce postpartum and Baby & Me teaching, and look at how you can take this work into the real world — whether that means supporting pregnant students in your existing classes, teaching a dedicated prenatal class, or building a full series of your own.
March 19–21

The virtual—not “pre-recorded” option
This training is designed to work beautifully online.
Our team has years of experience leading teacher trainings, workshops, mentorship, and practice teaching over Zoom, and we know how to make a virtual room feel engaged, personal, interactive, and genuinely connected.
You won’t be sitting silently watching lectures all weekend.
You’ll be asking questions, talking with the group, working in breakout rooms, practicing teaching, receiving feedback, creating classes, reflecting, and learning in real time alongside everyone else.
The first two weekends will be fully live on Zoom. The final weekend can also be attended live on Zoom, with an optional in-person experience at Honey Yoga in San Diego.
Every live session will also be recorded, so you’ll be able to revisit the material afterward and catch anything you need to review.
What matters most to us is that choosing Zoom does not mean choosing a lesser version of the training.
You’ll still receive the mentorship, practice, feedback, community, and depth that make Honey trainings what they are.
In other words: Virtual attendance isn’t the backup plan. It’s part of the design.

“Do I really need this much training for prenatal yoga?”
If all you want is a quick list of modifications and contraindications, probably not.
There are cheaper, faster trainings that can give you that.
This program is for people who want to actually understand pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — and then learn how to turn that knowledge into skilled, thoughtful teaching.
You’ll practice. You’ll get feedback. You’ll create classes. You’ll learn from experts. You’ll be mentored as a teacher.
Because knowing the information and knowing how to teach it well are two very different things.
“Is it worth investing this much time and money into a specialty?”
Prenatal yoga can become an entirely new branch of your teaching career.
You can teach dedicated prenatal classes, create multi-week series, bring programming into studios that don’t currently offer it, better serve pregnant students in your existing classes, and eventually expand into postpartum and Baby & Me work.
But even if prenatal yoga never becomes the majority of what you teach, the skills you’ll develop here — sequencing, intention, communication, presence, nervous-system awareness, and the ability to support someone through a major transition — will follow you into every room you teach in.
You’re not only investing in a specialty. You’re investing in your craft as a teacher.
“But… will Zoom really feel like a teacher training?”
We understand the hesitation.
A lot of people picture Zoom learning as sitting alone at a laptop while someone lectures at them for hours.
That is not how we teach.
Our team has extensive experience facilitating teacher trainings and mentorship online, and the live Zoom experience is intentionally interactive: discussion, breakout groups, practice teaching, feedback, questions, connection, and lots of actual participation.
In our experience, even people who come in skeptical about Zoom are often surprised by how connected and engaged they feel — and how grateful they are to have the flexibility of joining from home.
You’ll also have every live session recorded, which means you can revisit complicated material, rewatch demonstrations, and return to the training long after the weekend itself is over.
There is no better time to learn how to create deeply human experiences.
Interest in prenatal yoga remains strong, and we believe the value of this work is only becoming more obvious.
We are living in a world of AI, remote work, faster communication, shorter attention spans, and increasingly virtual lives.
Pregnancy can already feel isolating. People are navigating enormous physical and emotional changes while often spending less time in genuinely connective spaces.
That is exactly why experiences that are slow, embodied, relational, and deeply human matter so much.
A great prenatal class offers something that is becoming increasingly rare: a place to be fully present, to connect with your body, to connect with your baby, and to be witnessed by other people moving through the same threshold.
We’re already seeing how much people value these kinds of experiences, and we believe that demand will continue to grow as people become more selective about where they spend their time — and increasingly hungry for real connection.
The future may be more virtual. That makes the ability to create meaningful in-person experiences more valuable, not less.
Testimonials from our other yoga teacher trainings
After many years of talking about leading this training and waiting for the right time, we are finally hosting our first Honey Yoga Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training in 2027. But teacher trainings in general are hardly new to us. So here are a few testimonials from our other teacher trainings that will hopefully give you an idea for how we do things.
“I really don't have the words to articulate what this program has meant to me. Whatever 2 dimensional goals I had before the program have been replaced by a 3D view of life. Actually, a better image is that of the Wizard of Oz; when Dorothy steps out of her black and white world and enters a vivid land of technicolor.”

Your Guide
Bridget Regan
Honey Yoga Co-founder, Director of Teacher Training
Why I built this training: Because prenatal yoga deserves to be so much more than a list of modifications
Before I ever became a yoga teacher, I was already working in the birth world as a birth doula and childbirth educator.
At the same time, I had my own yoga practice — and I kept having this thought: the things I’m learning here would be so useful for the pregnant people I work with.
The breath. The nervous system. Learning how to stay present with discomfort. Trusting your body. Softening without collapsing. Finding steadiness when things feel intense.
I could see how much of yoga naturally translated into preparing for birth.
So I reached out to the woman who would eventually become my first yoga teacher and mentor and asked her about her prenatal yoga teacher training. Her response was basically: first, go become a yoga teacher.
So I did.
I completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2014, then immediately continued into prenatal yoga training — and later completed a second extensive pre- and postnatal training as well.
Prenatal yoga has been woven through my teaching for almost as long as I’ve been teaching yoga at all.
But somewhere along the way, I also became obsessed with a different question:
What actually makes someone a really good yoga teacher?
I taught anywhere that would take me, whenever they would take me, for however much they were willing to pay me. (Including a 6am class that was a 45-minute drive away. And a studio where I was paid per head, which meant I was regularly teaching for $5 or $10 🤪.)
But in all those years, not one studio owner or senior teacher ever gave me real feedback.
No mentorship. No refinement.
When I opened Honey in 2017 and started auditioning teachers, I realized something alarming: by likely no fault of their own, most new — and even several not-so-new — yoga teachers couldn’t actually teach a strong class.
So I built the kind of training I wish more teachers had: one rooted in depth, mentorship, real feedback, and real standards.
Since leading my first yoga teacher training in 2018, I’ve learned a lifetime’s worth of lessons about teaching, leadership, learning, and yoga.
And before every training, I still ask myself:
How can I make this even better? How can I help them become even better teachers by the end?
And, even more importantly:
How can I create the kind of space where people experience enough themselves that what they teach comes from somewhere real?
That question is at the heart of this prenatal training too.
Because I don’t just want you to leave knowing more about pregnancy.
I want you to leave more grounded, more skilled, more confident, and better able to create the kind of class that someone remembers because it actually meant something to them.
Kind words from graduates & students about Bridget
“Bridget brings deep wisdom to her approach to yoga and her ability to articulate that wisdom is undisputed. It's so evident how much she genuinely loves teaching YTT students. She pays close attention, calmly provides direct guidance, and might have been put on this earth to do exactly this job. Bridget makes the work she does seem effortless and somehow always manages to make herself available if students need one-on-one time. I love her grounded, down to earth teaching style - no fluff or filler to be found. At the same time, Bridget makes space for everyone to live their truth and genuinely wants her students to progress.” –Maria C., 2025 grad.
“Bridget has a vast web of knowledge that I felt truly grateful to learn from. Her wisdom and experience translated into powerful lessons that prepared us for a wide range of real-life teaching moments. She brings such depth, honesty, and authenticity. I really admire how raw and real she is. She created so much space for us to learn, make mistakes, and be vulnerable. As someone who's Indian, I also appreciated how she honored all aspects and roots of yoga, something that often gets lost in modern day practice.” –Tamina S., 2025 grad.
“AMAZING. Can Bridget just keep leading YTT for the rest of our lives?” –Marcella R., 2025 grad.
“I got the teaching job! YTT helped me answer every question they threw my way. Thank you for being an awesome teacher!” –Laura R., 2024 grad.

This training will be a great experience whether or not you are already a yoga teacher, and whether or not you intend to teach prenatal yoga.
For non-yoga-teachers, this would be a great way to understand pregnancy and childbirth physiologically, emotionally, and spiritually. It will offer you unique insight into supporting pregnant women in your life or in your work. And we aim to make it a transformational experience for all. -
