FAQ & Parking

OMG parking!

Everyone's favorite pain in the 🍑.
Here's a few tips, hints and hacks to help.

On El Cajon

In front of the studio on El Cajon, there's often spots right out front between 50th and Winona. You just have to be willing to parallel park. Don't be afraid. We believe in you.

Yellow Curb

There's a yellow-painted curb right in front of the fruteria (across the street from Honey's main door on Winona). According to the City of San Diego, you can park in the yellow after 6 pm everyday and all day on Sundays. It is always your responsibility to double check the city codes and the signage. Also, if you're parking in the yellow, please pull all the way up or all the way back so that another car can fit in there with you!

Green Curb

Green curb: outside our main entrance on Winona, there is a green curb. The sign says you can park here only for 30 minutes until 6 pm (at which point you can park longer...). So if it's 5:40 pm and you're here for the 5:45 class..........do the math! Again, be mindful of fellow parkers, leave room for another full car whenever possible!

Remember...

As is the case anywhere in this country, please don't park in the parking lot of a business you're not patronizing or a residence in which you don't reside. Also, you're responsible for your own parking adventures. These are just some things we've learned in our time here on the Boulevard.

See ya in there, Honey! XOXO

FAQ

  • We would highly recommend our Beginners’ Yoga Series.

Also, almost all of our classes are open to all levels. You might take it a little slower for the first couple classes and look around a bit at other practitioners but you'll get the hang of it. Know who the best surfer in the ocean is? The one having the most fun. Do what you can and know that we all start somewhere. Seriously.

Also, no-one cares what you look like on the mat. We’re all just doing our best.

  • Mostly we specialize in two kinds: vinyasa yoga (called “Honey Flow” here) which is a fast-paced, strength-and-sweat-focused class and our “Honey Restore” class style which is a very slow, quiet class where nearly all of the postures are seated or lying down. We have a few classes that are slight variations or blends of the two. Plus we offer prenatal (ongoing), baby-and-me (ongoing), and beginners (a few times a year) series’. All of our classes are able to be modified for beginners.

Whatever the class type, every single thing is optional and there’s never any pressure to compete or compare. You will often find well-practiced Honeys in class just to hang out in Child’s Pose the entire time. We are very proud of that.

You can find out about each of these on our schedule. Just click the class name and it will give you a little description.

  • We’ve got a whole page on our parking situation here.

  • No, our studio is not heated. We practice with the seasons :)

  • You can chill out whenever you want! But Honey Restore is always a safe bet.

  • We definitely encourage practitioners to invest in their own mat. If you have one, bring it. If not, we have a few spares that we don’t mind you using until you can get your hands on your own. We also have mats for sale here.

  • If you signed up for a class and can’t make it, please cancel at least 3 hours before class, or a $10 late fee will be charged to your card on file. To avoid this, we either recommend making sure you can make it before signing up, or use the policy to encourage yourself to commit to the classes you’ve signed up for!

  • We ask that you cancel classes yourself and here’s how to do it:

If using the app: log in, go to “bookings” on the bottom menu. Find the class you’d like to cancel, click on it, and press the “cancel” button on the bottom right-hand side

If using our website: log in, click your profile icon on the top right, and click on “YOUR SCHEDULE”. Your booked classes will be listed there and you can choose “cancel” on the bottom right.

  • If you need to make any changes to your membership (including cancelations, pauses, upgrades and downgrades), please fill out our Membership Change Form.

The only way to cancel your membership is via this form. We cannot accept cancelations via text, voicemail, email, or in-person.

Per your membership agreement, you must give us 3 days notice before you’re billed in order to cancel.

  • Come on an empty belly (this doesn’t mean super hungry. Rough guideline is nothing heavy within a couple of hours of practice). Arrive about 10-15 minutes early so we can greet you and show you around! Wear comfy clothes that will allow you to move without adjusting them a whole bunch. Please don’t wear perfume or fragrant sprays. No shoes in the practice room (we’ll show you where to take them off!). Cell phone off and in your bag—no phones on the mat. Just let the front desk know when you get here that you’re new and they’ll be thrilled to show you the ropes. We are known for our friendliness, diversity, and welcoming-spirit! We can’t wait to meet you.

  • Yes. Wheelchair access is through the main door on the corner of El Cajon and Winona.
