“The people [were the most meaningful part of the trip]! Talking around the dinner table. For some reason I didn’t go into it thinking I’d come out with new friends, but I did :).”
Why you need this retreat…
You know that old saying I need a vacation from my vacation? Well, frankly, that gives us the freakin’ chills.
As a society, we are over-stimulated, over-worked, and worst of all, under-nourished—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. What we really need is major structural and societal change (and we’re working on that, please refer to our vision and mission statements 😅) but in the meantime it takes each of us working to change that in our own lives—refusing to accept that reality for ourselves. Refuse to accept vacations that leave you feeling EVEN LESS RESTED.
We know your time and money are precious, and we do not want you to waste another penny or hour on a vacation that does not leave you feeling UTTERLY REVIVED.
If healthy and hearty meals prepared and planned for you thrice a day, fireside deep chats, sleeping a solid 8–10 hours every night, friendship, laughter, and tons and tons of exceptional and inspiring yoga and meditation sounds like what you need to be nourished: this retreat is for you.
“I was so sad to come home… I cried on the boat ride! I am incorporating little pieces of the relaxed calm I experienced on this trip.”
🌅 Let Us Paint You a Picture…
You wake up slowly, deeply rested, to the soft sound of birds chatting in the trees outside your room. The sun is rising. The air is warm. Your only decision? Which comfy yoga pants to wear (spoiler: they’re all comfy). You slip on your flip flops, pop downstairs for a fresh cup of coffee, and head to the yoga shala as the day begins to stretch awake with you.
You move and breathe through your morning practice, your body opening like it’s been waiting for this. You land in savasana as a light breeze dances across your skin. You feel… what is that feeling? Oh yeah, peace. Contentment. Bliss.
After class, a nourishing breakfast is waiting — prepared for you, no to-do list in sight. Maybe you wander to the beach. Maybe you lounge in and around the pool, chatting with your new friends. Maybe you paddleboard for the first time or do absolutely nothing at all.
Later, after another incredible meal, you retreat to your room for a midday catnap — the kind where time disappears. When you wake, you lace up for a jungle hike with new friends. The views are stunning, but so is the feeling: awe, connection, joy. You feel more like yourself than you have in a long time.
As the sun begins to set, you’re back on your mat for a slow, grounding evening practice. You stretch what’s tight, breathe into what’s stuck, and find stillness again. You are so relaxed in your last few postures of class that you think you might be asleep but mostly it’s just the feeling of true, deep surrender.
Dinner is abundant and delicious, and the wine (or mocktail) is cold. You’re surrounded by thoughtful, hilarious, heart-forward people, enjoying the kind of conversation that fills something deep in you. You laugh like you haven’t in months.
Eventually, you head back to your room, rinsing off in the moonlit shower before sinking into the most restful sleep of your life. Before you know it, morning comes again. And you get to do it all over.
“Every single flow was so, so, meaningful — more than I think I can convey with words.”
Rest.
Excuse yourself from the day-to-day chaos and take a week off. Most of the day is yours to nap, relax, lounge beach- and pool-side, or hit their incredible spa for a massage.
Nourish.
When was the last time someone planned and prepared you every single meal for a week? If your answer is sometime in the 20th century: pack your bag, this retreat is not optional for you 😂.
Explore.
Excursions like jungle hiking, snorkeling and whale watching, and trips to the local village are available all week if you’re looking to adventure and explore.
Discover.
Daily yoga, mediation and other programming to help you with that inward adventure.
“It was the first time in a good long time that I've felt so much a part of and held by a chosen community of purely wonderful people.”
“Delicious food, a chill ‘take it or leave it’ approach, thoughtfully curated flows/intentions and playlists, gorgeous facilities... would absolutely do it again (and plan to)!”

Travel made easy
Getting to paradise is easier than you think — and we’ll walk you through every step.
1️⃣ Fly into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR)
You’ll want to arrive by 4:00 p.m. on February 21st to catch your boat to the retreat. But don’t stress — if you’re delayed, Xinalani has a back-up plan and will make sure you still arrive safely (and smoothly). They’ve done this many times — we’ve even had folks with flight issues show up late and still get the full white-glove treatment.
💡 If you’re coming from San Diego, we highly recommend flying from Tijuana Airport as flights are often under $100 if you book far enough in advance.
2️⃣ From plane to paradise, you’re taken care of
Get to baggage claim (in most cases, it’s literally right when you step off the plane) and you’ll easily find the transport team. Whether you’re solo or arriving with friends, they’ll escort you to your car, drive you to the marina, and make sure you’re exactly where you need to be every step of the way.
At the marina (which is air-conditioned, in case of any wait), a Xinalani staff member will meet you and guide you to your boat. The boat ride to the retreat is about 40 minutes — and trust us, the view is worth it.
Door to door: around 1–2 hours depending on boat schedules, and every step is handled with care.
💓 We’ll make sure you have everything you need
Before your trip, you’ll receive a detailed travel guide with what to pack, what to expect, and exactly who to reach out to if you need help. Both our team and Xinalani’s staff will be on hand to support you every step of the way.
Sleep like a queen…
Choose from a variety of rooms at different price points—all stunning and optimized for that deep rest we all need.
How choosing a room works
All of the rooms besides the Palapas (dorm-style rooms) can be booked at single-occupancy for a more private experience or you can book at “double occupancy”—in which case you’ll be choosing to pay for one of the beds in the room. If you have a friend in mind and we have the space available, we can book you into the same room. No friend, no problem. We can find you a buddy to share the room with. Contact us before booking if you have a specific person in mind so we can ensure there’s availability for both of you in the room of your choice.
➡️ Once you’ve decided from the list below which room you would like to book, contact us here or shoot an email to bridget@honeysandiego.com to confirm your spot. ⬅️
