BINGO!

Bingo’s back, baby! Every Spring we hold this very special month-long challenge. It’s a chance to commit to your practice, fall in love with your community, and for the second year in a row: contribute to a good cause. This year, a few of our bingo challenges (and our focus for the month of May) will involve helping provide much-needed donations to migrants and refugees stuck at our border. Learn more about what’s happening at the border here.

Here’s how it works:

  • We created a giant BINGO! board with all sorts of mini challenges (ones for in-studio, at home, in the community)

  • On May 1st all the challenges will be revealed at the same time—and you start strategizing!

  • You get your very own stamp (leave it here so you don't lose it!) and some coupons from us and other local businesses.

  • Do one challenge per day and stamp that square with your unique stamp when you come to class (e.g. by May 15 you should have max. 15 challenges stamped).

  • Every time you post on social media make sure to tag us.

  • The challenge runs through May 31st. Good luck!

And here’s what you can win!!:

  • Inner lines (Lines that do not run along outside of board) All winners: sticker and 5% off retail (in addition to any other coupons or discounts!)

  • Outer lines (Along the outside of the board) 1st & 2nd person: Walla steel blender bottle, 1 free guest pass Runners up: $5 account credit

  • X, T, L 1st person: Honey Yoga tank or $15 account credit, 1 free guest pass (exp. May 31, 2023) Runners up: 50% off Honey Yoga swag

  • Frame The whole outside! 1st person: $30 account credit and Honey Yoga Tank Runners up: 2 free guest passes

  • Full board
    The whole damn thing
1st person: A free month of yoga OR a new yoga mat and a 30-minute private yoga class Runners up: A 30-minute private yoga class

It’s $10 to play!

All prizes must be claimed or redeemed by June 31!

Fall in Love with Your Yoga Practice Workshop

Fall in Love with Your Yoga Practice Workshop

Fall in Love with Your Yoga Practice Workshop

“First, you have to practice for a long period of time; second, your practice must not be interrupted—you must do it regularly; and third, you must do your practice with love and respect.” - Yoga Sutras of Patañjali 1:14 (D.C. Rao transl.)

Love how yoga makes you feel after practice but have a hard time dragging yourself to your mat regularly? You’re not alone, my friend! And I used to be exactly like you. I knew it was good for me. I knew it felt good. I even knew I liked it. But sometimes it just felt like too much to sign up, find a clean outfit, gather up all my things, get in the car, drive over, find parking, and then finally get to my mat. And then even when I did get to my mat it felt like I was counting down until savasana. Barely even enjoying it. The reward only came after. And that just was barely enough to get me to do all that work to get there.

For years, I liked yoga but it was really more of a situationship I was in with it. But after a few mindset shifts, a bit of presence and awareness, and a lot of strategy about what to actually do once I got to my mat I was fully committed. Completely devoted and in love. Now I practice several times a week and never have to drag myself. I believe this can be your experience too.

You’ve probably heard people say that yoga and the skills we practice on our mats like mindfulness, awareness, and presence can change your life. And that is true. But it can only do that when we engage in a consistent, devoted practice.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the unique things that keep you from your mat, the universal things that stop us all from doing things that are good for us, and most importantly come up with a plan to help you not only make it to your practice more often but be jumping for joy on your way.

What will people learn:

  • Strategies for making your yoga practice sustainable and enjoyable

  • A little bit about how the mind can occasionally be working against our best interests and how to notice when that’s happening

  • How to make it to your mat more often without forcing it

This is for anyone who:

  • Wants to learn how to create a sustainable yoga practice

  • Is newer to the practice and wants to learn how to avoid burn-out and commit to it

  • Likes how they feel after practice, but has a hard time making it to their mat

This workshop is FREE to Bingo Players. Register for Bingo here.

By practicing in near-darkness we'll play with our relationship to stimuli, sensation, the external world, and, of course, the internal one. Plus, it's really cool and fun. Round Robin Teacher Auditions

FOR CURRENT YOGA TEACHERS ONLY!

We are hiring at Honey Yoga and this is a round-robin-style audition for yoga teachers looking to teach here. Expect to be asked to teach any part of a flow-style yoga class, for a period of between 5 and 10 minutes. All participants will be on their mats, practicing (or ya know, just being in child's pose is fine too :)). You won't know which part you'll be asked to teach in advance, but we're just looking to see a little sample of your voice and teaching style. Please demonstrate your ability to teach breath and movement, "mirror" while teaching facing the students, and teach "off the mat".

Most importantly, relax and have fun! It’s a good, fun time, and a great way to get some experience auditioning and meet some other teachers!

If you have any questions at all, please direct them to bridget@honeysandiego.com
