Fall in Love with Your Yoga Practice Workshop

“First, you have to practice for a long period of time; second, your practice must not be interrupted—you must do it regularly; and third, you must do your practice with love and respect.” - Yoga Sutras of Patañjali 1:14 (D.C. Rao transl.)

Love how yoga makes you feel after practice but have a hard time dragging yourself to your mat regularly? You’re not alone, my friend! And I used to be exactly like you. I knew it was good for me. I knew it felt good. I even knew I liked it. But sometimes it just felt like too much to sign up, find a clean outfit, gather up all my things, get in the car, drive over, find parking, and then finally get to my mat. And then even when I did get to my mat it felt like I was counting down until savasana. Barely even enjoying it. The reward only came after. And that just was barely enough to get me to do all that work to get there.

For years, I liked yoga but it was really more of a situationship I was in with it. But after a few mindset shifts, a bit of presence and awareness, and a lot of strategy about what to actually do once I got to my mat I was fully committed. Completely devoted and in love. Now I practice several times a week and never have to drag myself. I believe this can be your experience too.

You’ve probably heard people say that yoga and the skills we practice on our mats like mindfulness, awareness, and presence can change your life. And that is true. But it can only do that when we engage in a consistent, devoted practice.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the unique things that keep you from your mat, the universal things that stop us all from doing things that are good for us, and most importantly come up with a plan to help you not only make it to your practice more often but be jumping for joy on your way.

What will people learn:

  • Strategies for making your yoga practice sustainable and enjoyable

  • A little bit about how the mind can occasionally be working against our best interests and how to notice when that’s happening

  • How to make it to your mat more often without forcing it

This is for anyone who:

  • Wants to learn how to create a sustainable yoga practice

  • Is newer to the practice and wants to learn how to avoid burn-out and commit to it

  • Likes how they feel after practice, but has a hard time making it to their mat
